CHEMICAL FREE CLEANING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

STEAM GENERATOR FOR CLEANING AND SANITIZING

The VaporOne steam generator is an electric powered steam generator ideal for indoor use. Because it is electric powered there are no dangerous exhaust fumes emitted and no dangerous, flammable fuels needed to store.

In addition to sanitizing the internal piping and tubing of bottling lines, filters and pumps, the VaporOne Steam Generator is ideal for disinfecting stainless steel tanks. Steam from the Vapor One Steam Generator saturates the tank and helps dissolve the residue clinging to the tank surface area. Therefore, a simple rinsing is all it needed after the application of steam. The VaporOne Steam Generator eliminates the use of harsh chemicals thereby eliminating the possibility of wine being contaminated by chemical residue.

The VaporOne can also be used to disinfect wine barrels, primarily to eliminate any trace of brettanomicetes.

Barrel is steamed with a 10kw vapor using the 5kw setting (limited by available power at the winery). Steam diffuser is inserted into the barrel and allowed to steam the barrel for 4 minutes. After removing the diffuser from the barrel, the bung is placed back into the hole. The sealed barrel cooled for for 4 minutes, after which time the bung is removed. The residual wine tartrates are "sucked" from the interior walls of the barrel due to the suction created inside the barrel while cooling.

Barrel had been cleaned using "standard methods" prior to steaming.

Steaming S/S fermentation tanks with the Vapor One or the Ika Vapor could not be faster or easier. Simply, connect the steam hose to the lowest set valve, above the drain valv,e and turn on the butterfly valve to release steam into the tank. Make certain that the top lid is not tightened down (to avoid over pressure of tank). When steam has reached 140°F continue steaming for approximately 20 minutes, occasionally beating on the side of the tank to allow easier removal of tartrate residue. After steaming, immediately rinse with water before the tank is allowed to cool. Hot water is preferrable.

The time necessary for steaming may vary depending on the size of the tank and condition of ineternal surface conditions.

IKA Vapor is the latest industrial system created by Idroeletrika. We are dealing with a high pressure washer with electric heating and reduced water consumption used mainly for cleaning and sanitizing in food and beverage
industries, wineries, food processing and engineering plants which works with hot water at a constant and
continuous high temperature. It also incorporates an industrial steam boiler to generate steam for sterilizing
bottling lines, filter and microfilter systems and also helps remove residues from stainless steel tanks and eliminates Brettanomices from barrels.

The high pressure of Idroelectric System is a unique patented system functioning with high temperatures and a
powerful dispelling effect combined with reduced flow rates and allows for easy removal of residual organic, saline, mixed and even carbon based substances otherwise difficult to remove. In addition, the thermal effect from washing is able to break down and eliminate the bacterial count and microflora present on contaminated surfaces.

VaporOne is a steam generator with stainless steel boiler with automatic refilling feature for the production of steam
at over 221°F c onstant and continuous. The steam generator takes approximately 2 minutes to bring the water to boil and all safety features and functions are controlled by a PLC incorporated into the unit. Simple and robust, the IKA Vapor is a reliable and environment friendly machine available with various power options.

APPLICATIONS

Thanks to the various accessories available, Idoelectric can be used for many critical applications difficult to manage with traditional cleaning methods:

  • Washing and sanitize bottling and labelling equipment
  • Cleaning conveyor belts and rollers
  • Washing small parts and valves in wine equipment
  • Washing harvest crates and presses
  • Cleaning in hard to reach areas around equipment and tanks
  • Washing syphon hoses and tubes drains and pipes
  • Hot pressure washer with electric heating
  • Hot pressure washer for barrel and tank washing
  • Hot pressure washer for washing machinery and Equipment
  • Hot Pressure washer with reduced water consumption
  • Steam generator for sterilizing microfilter systems

Benefits:

  • Thanks to electric heating it works indoors and in tight spaces without fuel emissions or consumption
  • Thanks to low water usage it doesn’t generate aerosol, little splash back and little water dispersion
  • Thanks to high pressure it offers high performance in removing contamination on all surface areas
  • Thanks to the high temperature it dissolves residues and sanitizes without the use of chemicals
  • Thanks to its’ versatility it is easy to use and offers economical, ecological and time savings

Advantages:

The advantages from using high pressure of Idroelectric System are:

  • Ideal for using indoors and closed environments thanks to the patented electric heated high pressure boiler.
  • No CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
  • Does not generate water clouds or waste water due to the low flow rates.
  • Very efficient removal of dirt, grime and tough residues thanks to the high pressure.
  • Dissolves organic substances, removes mixed and inorganic residues and sanitizes with high temperatures.
  • Efficient for working in accordance with HACCP procedures because of its simplicity.

The advantages from using VaporOne steam are:

  • Reduction and/or elimination of chemical products for sterlizing bottling lines, filters and tanks.
  • Electric heating - zero CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
  • Water savings in tasks which normally require abundant water quantities for rinsing.
  • Savings in water treatment or disposal.
  • Complete elimination of germs and bacteria.

Rotatable Barrel Rack

Click photos to enlarge

"RotoRack" is the affordable, high quality rotatable barrel rack that enables wineries to maximize space in the barrel room while saving time, money and most importantly, labor.

Unlike conventional barrel rack systems, barrels stored in RotoRack are never removed from RotoRack until the barrels are spent. All barrel related activities, including barrel cleaning, filling, emptying, topping-up, stirring the lees, tasting and removing of the barrels are all performed while the barrels are in place in the racks, without disturbing any other barrel(s). Each barrel is stored independently of any other barrel and all barrels can be accessed without having to move any other barrel.

Forklifts and other means of lifting and removing barrels are eliminated. While in place, barrels can spin 360 degrees on adjustable, double insulated stainless steel bearings.

To accommodate various barrel designs, the barrel support rollers are adjustable, thereby avoiding any barrel's bands from sitting on the rollers, allowing for effortless rotating of full wine barrels. Made from polyester powder coated light-weight aluminum, the RotoRack offers years of maintenance free service. RotoRack is strong yet lightweight, and thanks to its modular design, existing Configurations can be expanded, allowing for barrel room expansions to keep up with growing winery production.

Material:

  • Constructed totally in aluminium, wheels with bearing and lives in stainless steel.
  • Polyester powder coated aluminium*

  • NOTE: Red Wine Fermentation
    Process Illustrated.
The triple skin lets you control temperature by simply pumping water through the cooling layer
  • Save work; the sealed FermentaBag™ operates under pressure to naturally recirculate the wine, which continually percolates through the cap of grape skins. Now you don't have to break the crust or manually mix the fermenting wine.
  • Bring your wine to market six months earlier. Without the need to free up a costly stainless steel tank, your wine can be left to macerate for up to six weeks. This cuts down time in the barrel by many months giving you softer wine months earlier.
  • No more cleaning: FermentaBags™ are disposable and recyclable.
  • Andrew Hickinbotham has found that the FermentaBags™ system gives him better colour extraction thanks to the constant percolation of the wine.
  • Now the smaller winemaker can compete with the large. This is a case of technology greatly reducing cost.
  • Now it is so cheap and easy for the winemaker to set up control test samples and expand their production capabilities.
